Cindy Van Der Wal is ESG Manager for Vista Hospitality Group and Pro-invest Asset Management Australia. Cindy’s key responsibilities include communicating the ESG vision for the Group, while researching, administering, and coordinating all ESG initiatives and accreditations. These include GRESB, INREV, ANREV, NABERS and Green Engage, amongst others. Cindy also assists the team with investor presentations, submissions and reporting on all matters relating to ESG policies and compliance.Cindy was initially employed as Research Intern for Pro-invest Hotels Group where her strong analytical skills and knowledge gained from her business degree earned Cindy a full-time permanent position as Analyst with Pro-invest Developments before taking on the role of ESG Coordinator in 2018. During this time, Cindy also obtained her Honours Research Degree, with her Thesis exploring the effects of bullying behaviours on frontline hospitality employees’ work performance. Her Thesis was published in the Journal of Quality Assurance in Hospitality & Tourism. Cindy holds a Bachelor of Business in Hotel Management from The Hotel School Australia and a Bachelor of Business in Tourism & Hospitality with Honours from Southern Cross University. She is additionally a Pro-invest Group member representative on the Property Council of Australia NSW Hotel Property Committee and the Hotel Sustainability Sub-committee.
